About Howard Denson

Howard Burdette Denson (1897–1950) was the youngest son of Thomas Jackson and Amanda Burdette Denson. Howard Denson was the first president of the Sacred Harp Publishing Company. A member of the revision committee of the 1936 Original Sacred Harp: Denson Revision he composed the song "Homeward Bound" (p. 373 in The Sacred Harp).
